Meet the Team…
You’re in safe hands!
The faces
behind your winter safety

Dean Harvey
Founder & Managing Director
Dean has an extensive background working in crucial positions for well-known service providers in the grounds maintenance sector as a specialist in winter maintenance, and through this experience of working with clients, he identified the need for a dedicated provider within the UK industry.
As a result, Dean launched AccuGrit in 2019 to explicitly deliver forecasting, gritting and snow clearing services to the public and private sectors using experts in the field and innovative equipment for winter maintenance. Passionate about building a business that people enjoy working in, AccuGrit, since its inauguration, has gone from strength to strength, expanding the workforce at HQ and nationwide hubs, implementing robust staff training programmes and participating in the Government Kick Starter scheme. Also high on Dean’s agenda is creating a customer-centric business, supported by the multiple ISO certificates awarded to the company and memberships to various governing bodies.

Richard Reed
National Accounts Manager
Richard was appointed in 2022 into the primary role of National Accounts Manager to build and maintain strong working relationships with AccuGrit’s existing and new clients to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Richard is also the main link between the customers and the AccuGrit teams to ensure the smooth running of all services.
With nine years spent as National Accounts Manager for The Gritting Company, looking after some of the UK’s biggest business names and a highly enviable reputation in the industry, Richard brings a wealth of expertise and client support like no other. Sharing Dean’s enthusiasm and dedication to customer service, Richard is a true asset to AccGrit with his problem-solving and can-do attitude.

Henry Jordan
Northern Area Supervisor and SnoWay Fitter/ Engineer
Henry joined the team, having operated within the winter maintenance industry for a considerable time.
Armed with the relevant experience for the AccuGrit objectives, Henry supports the operation in the Midlands and North of the UK, including meeting clients at their site to review the services required. Henry also audits all our completed gritting and snow clearing work in his region to ensure the highest standards have been met. In addition to this, Henry is highly regarded for his machinery mechanics, having honed his skills on repairing of vintage tractors, he now manages our fleet of equipment and is the Snoway winter equipment service engineer for the UK, training and supporting all our field teams.

Mark Westcott
Out of Hours Operations Manager
Mark combines experience, enthusiasm, and a good sense of humour to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently out of normal business hours, much to the delight of our clients.
With an ever-growing number of customers across the UK and wintery temperatures jumping up and down this year, running the AccuGrit operations takes skill and a calm personality at the best of times, let alone on the night shift when you’re responsible for completing jobs on time for people’s morning commute.

Ryan Osman
National Operations Manager
Ryan’s employment at AccuGrit signifies two exciting milestones for us as a business. Firstly, it means we have grown enough to start expanding our team. Secondly, it means winter is coming!
Followers of AG will know that we have been introducing our team members to put faces to names over the past few months. So continuing this theme, we have the pleasure of introducing our newest recruit, Ryan Osman, joining us as Operations Coordinator.

Zack Nash
Administration Assistant
Zack, who joined us as part of the government Kickstarter scheme, has impressed us that much, he is joining team AccuGrit full time as our Administration Assistant.
In addition, over the next two years, with our full support, Zack will be working on gaining his Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship. During the course, Zack will learn how a Customer Practitioner is responsible for providing high-quality service to customers, delivered from the workplace, digitally, or by going out into the customer’s locality.
These may be one-off or routine contacts and include dealing with orders, payments, offering advice, guidance, support, meet and greet, sales, fixing problems, aftercare, service recovery, or gaining insight by measuring customer satisfaction. Phew!

Ashley Kemp
Business Support
With exceptional skills in managing multiple accounts and a solid background in the Winter Maintenance industry, we are excited to add Ashley’s experience and skills to our fantastic team.
Ashley’s role is to support sales and operations functions – receiving a handover from the night manager (when operational) and ensuring client reports are sent out each morning. He will also liaise with gritting teams and resolve any issues where required. In addition, he’ll assist sales with measuring sites and creating gritting maps.
Before AccuGrit, Ashley held a transport position for a shipping container supplier. He was keen to get back to doing something familiar, which he both enjoys and can thrive in. In Ashley’s words “AccuGrit has steadily grown over the past 2-3 years, and I am excited to join and grow with the company”.
