At AccuGrit we live and breathe winter maintenance services, and it is all done by an experienced, efficient and pioneeringly superb team. This is why we like to keep introducing you to them as we think you should know the faces behind names.

We always like to stay one step ahead of the game by taking advantage of the ever-evolving technology and new equipment on the market so that we can keep providing unparalleled services to our clients. One team member critical to our success in the field is Henry Jordan, our Northern Area Supervisor and our SnoWay fitter/ engineer across all the UK, so we thought it was time to make the introduction….

Hi Henry, can you, in a few words, describe your enormous role at AccuGrit.

I support the AccuGrit operation in the Midlands and North of the UK, including meeting clients at their site to review the services required. I also audit all the gritting and snow clearing work completed in my region. Plus, I am also the Snoway winter equipment service engineer for the UK, and I train/support our field teams.

What drew you to work at AccuGrit?

I have operated within the industry for a while, so I’ve acquired the relevant experience for the objectives Dean would like to achieve with the business. In addition, as Accugrit has a sole focus on Winter services, it enables me to utilise my skills effectively.

What innovations do you think are essential to our industry?

Using well-made robust gritting equipment such as Snoway, as it certainly gets tested during busy winters, and you do not want it to let you down at critical moments. I also think the YETI technology that Accugrit uses to manage its operation is crucial in delivering operational efficiency and providing a great customer experience.

What does a typical day look like for you?

In the offseason, I am usually found repairing or servicing spreaders or providing demos for clients. Leading up to the season, I would typically set up and induct any new teams at clients’ sites, then in season assisting the teams and auditing the work completed. It is never dull!

Lastly, we hear you have an exciting hobby!

Yes, not content with working on machinery in work; outside of it, I also repair and drive vintage tractors.
